1. What is paid for, and what is not
The Free plan is free, permanently, and is not a trial. It carries one website, five pages, a SinceCode subdomain, 500 MB of storage and unlimited enquiries. Nothing on it expires and no payment details are required to use it.
Everything else is billed per website, not per account. An account with three websites on it may have one paid and two free; each carries its own subscription and its own renewal date.
2. Plans and prices
All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies. They are charged monthly in advance.
| Plan | Per month | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | £0.00 | 500 MB |
| Premium | £6.99 | 2 GB |
| Premium + | £11.99 | 10 GB |
| Premium ++ | £17.99 | 25 GB |
Add-ons — bookings above the included allowance, event passes, and enquiry-email top-ups — are priced in the app at the point of purchase, and are billed on the same subscription as the website they belong to.
3. Renewal
A paid website renews automatically each month on the anniversary of the day it was first paid for, until it is cancelled. You can see the next renewal date, and cancel, under Account → Billing.
We do not send a reminder before each renewal. If you would like one, ask us at support@sincecode.com and we will set it up for your account.
4. Changing plan mid-cycle
- Upgrading takes effect immediately. You are charged the difference for the days remaining in the current month, calculated from the day you upgrade. The exact figure is shown before you confirm, and that figure is what is charged.
- Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal. You keep what you paid for until the month you have already paid for ends. We do not refund the difference and we do not cut the plan short.
Both directions are deliberate: an upgrade is something you asked for now, and a downgrade should never take away something you have already paid for.
5. Cancelling
Cancelling a website's subscription stops the next charge. The website stays on its paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then moves to the Free plan.
If it no longer fits within the Free plan — too much storage, too many pages — the website is deactivated rather than deleted or silently trimmed. It stops being publicly reachable, everything in it is kept, and reactivating it by paying again restores it as it was.
A deactivated website is permanently deleted 14 days after deactivation. That clock is shown in your dashboard from the moment it starts, and it does not reset if you deactivate, reactivate and deactivate again. Export your content before it runs out — Account → Privacy → Download my data gives you everything, including your enquiries.
6. Refunds
By buying a paid plan you asked for it to start immediately, and in doing so waived the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (reg. 37). That is what the checkbox at checkout says.
That is the legal position and it is not how we intend to behave. If something did not work, if you were charged for something you did not mean to buy, or if you are simply unhappy within the first month, write to support@sincecode.com and ask. We would rather refund you than keep money from someone who does not want the service.
Nothing here affects your rights if the service was not as described or not of satisfactory quality.
7. Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days and emails you at the address on the account. If it has not succeeded by the end of those retries, the website moves to the Free plan under section 5 — and is deactivated rather than trimmed if it no longer fits.
We do not charge a fee for a failed payment, and we do not suspend the rest of your account because one website's payment failed.
8. Who we can sell to
SinceCode sells to customers in the United Kingdom. Checkout is restricted accordingly, and a payment attempted from outside the UK will be declined before any card details are taken.
9. Price changes
If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. You can cancel before it does. We will not change the price of a month you have already paid for.
10. Invoices and records
Every payment produces a receipt from Stripe, sent to the email address on the account, and your billing history is in the app under Account → Billing. We keep billing and tax records for six years, as HMRC requires — this is the one category of data that survives the deletion of an account, and our Privacy Policy says so.
11. Questions and complaints
Billing questions go to support@sincecode.com. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to ask your card issuer or bank to intervene; we would rather you asked us first, and we will not close an account for raising a dispute.
